ZATCA updates rules on exemption of returned goods from customs duties

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) updated the rules related to the exemption of returned goods from customs duties.

This includes updating the requirements related to exempting the returned goods and developing the customs procedures related to goods that are temporarily exported to complete their manufacture or repair abroad, ZATCA said in a statement.

Further, the updates include canceling the value restrictions for returned goods, hence the exemption request can be submitted for all returned goods, regardless of their value.
