The National Company for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) said that the board of directors of Saudi Guardian International Float Glass Co. (Gulf Guard) approved a study for the establishment of a flat and insulating glass factory at a cost estimated at $215 million (SAR 806.2 million).

The new factory will be set up as Gulf Guard 2, the glass manufacturer said in a statement to Tadawul.

The project will be established in the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) with a daily production capacity of 750 tons.

In January, Guld Guard’s board gave the go-ahead for studying the establishment of a float glass plant.
