Five National Commercial Bank (NCB) employees have been found guilty of embezzling money from the accounts of two clients, Alriyadh newspaper reported.

The accused, who worked at a bank branch in Riyadh, were caught and put under investigation following a joint effort by National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) and the kingdom’s central bank.

An NCB bank employee said to be leading the group was sentenced to six years in jail, while four accomplices will face a jail term of two to four years.

Nazaha has the right to investigate cases of corruption across the kingdom’s sectors, including state-owned banks and companies.
