Jabal Omar, Mawgif ink deal to operate car parks at Makkah project

Jabal Omar Development Co. has signed an agreement with Saudi-based National Parking Company (Mawgif) to operate and lease parking spaces at its Makkah project, the developer said in a statement on Tuesday.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The agreement, spanning the first phase of the project until the fourth phase, comes as part of the developer’s strategy to develop and enhance security systems.

The Makkah project comprises over 1,500 parking lots, which could be increased after the remaining phases of the project are completed.

Jabal Omar is developing a mega project at the area around Makkah’s Grand Mosque, with a road network, infrastructure, and commercial and residential projects.
