Two injured, 1 dead in accident at Qassim Cement

Qassim Cement Co. said on Wednesday that one worker was killed and two others injured after an accident occurred during maintenance at a heating unit in its first production line.

The incident took place early in the morning and the emergency response teams, in cooperation with the civil defense, were able to contain it.

There is no impact on the company’s operations, the cement producer added in a bourse statement.

Meanwhile, Qassim said that required legal procedures will be taken to protect the workers and company’s rights.
