Dammam Airports Co. (DACO) has awarded five contracts for development of King Fahd International Airport (KFIA), according to a statement on the official Saudi Press Agency.
No details were provided about the value of the contracts.
The first contract aims to improve the airport infrastructure through the restoration of 31 toilets at the airport.
A new gate will also be established at the domestic departure hall to enhance KFIA’s capacity.
Other contracts are related to the supply and installments of six lifts at Dammam airport, in addition to setting up five smoking rooms and runway signs.
The new projects have been awarded three months after completing the privatization of KFIA and launching DACO, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reform plan.
