Saudi-Korean talks over waste-to-energy unit at ‘advanced’ stage

05/03/2018 Argaam

Al Madinah Municipality’s talks with Korea’s Puscan Engineering Co. over the feasibility study for the planned waste thermal treatment project have reached an advanced stage, the municipality said in an official statement.

The consortium working on the project includes POSCO E&C, Deloitte, Dong Myeong Engineering, and others.

The companies submitted a public-private partnership (PPP) bid to set up a new energy-from-waste facility. Such an electric power will be partly supplied to the thermal treatment unit, while the remaining energy will be added to the national grid.
