Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO) on Aug. 13 filed a lawsuit asking Riyadh’s administrative court to cancel the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) decision to reject GO’s request to get the unified telecom license, the telecom firm said in a statement to Tadawul today.
The firm is taking all measures to preserve the best interest of its shareholders, it said, adding that it cannot anticipate case’s financial impact for the time being.
On May 22, CITC rejected GO’s request to get the unified license, which allows operators to offer integrated telecom services including landline, Argaam previously reported.
