The Public Investment Fund (PIF), the Kingdom's sovereign wealth fund, on Wednesday launched "Amaala” luxury destination on the northwestern coast of Saudi Arabia. Nicholas Naples, a veteran luxury hospitality and development executive, was named as the chief executive officer.
Naples has a 30-year experience in the hospitality field, as he held several posts in a number of five-star hotels and resorts, including Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. He also managed several development projects worth billions of dollars.
Naples worked as a chief executive officer and a managing director in the Integrated Resorts International Ltd in USA, China and Vietnam.
Also, Naples developed 17 new projects and operated a hotel portfolio of more than 30 resorts for Caesars Entertainment Corporation.
In July 2006, Naples worked as a chief operating officer in Macau Studio City; a JV Melco Crown Entertainment & New Cotai Holdings, where he developed a flagship luxury integrated resort and casino featuring 4 luxury hotels, namely, Ritz Carlton, Marriott, W, and Tang Hotel, two casinos, 970,000 sf of luxury retail shopping, numerous entertainment venues and food/beverage offerings.
Naples held a master’s degree from Cornell University.
