Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim has invited contractors to bid on Riyadh’s Mall of Saudi, MEED reported.
Bids on the estimated $1.5 billion- $2 billion construction contract are due to be submitted early February.
The bidders include Turkey’s TAV Construction and Saudi Arabia’s Nesma Construction, Italy’s Salini Impregilo, India’s Larsen & Toubro, Lebanon’s Arab Construction Co. and Consolidated Contractors Co., Egypt’s Orascom and Riyadh-based El Seif Engineering Contracting.
Project consultants include US-based CallisonRTKL, Lebanon’s Khatib & Alami, and UK-based Faithful & Gould.
Majid Al-Futtaim said in February 2016 that it plans to invest SAR 14 billion to build two international shopping malls in Riyadh.
Mall of Saudi, which will be one of the largest in Saudi Arabia when completed, will be built on over 866,000 square-meter to include an indoor snow park, retail shops, restaurants and entertainment areas, Argaam previously reported.
