Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Housing has allocated SAR 21 billion for developing 251 million square meters of land in several cities, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Hassan Alhazmi, Deputy Minister of Housing for Lands and Technical Affairs.

The target land plots will provide 236,000 residential units. A total of 73 million square meters-land plots were developed and supplied with the necessary infrastructure, ahead of being handed over to citizens and developers.

Meanwhile, infrastructure deals were signed for the development of 140 million square meters-land plots this year.

The ministry also targets to develop 37 million square meters land plots this year, Alhazmi added in the press conference held to launch Sakani Program 2019.
