Crown Prince's Pakistan visit to build 'strong' economic partnership

Prime Minister Imran Khan has lauded a visit being paid by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan, who landed at the Noor Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on Sunday evening, affirming that the visit reflects strong relations between the two nations, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

In a press statement issued by the Pakistani official media outlets, the Pakistani prime minister asserted that Crown Prince's visit will consolidate bilateral relations between Riyadh and Islamabad. He affirmed that this visit will move the relations into a strong economic partnership.

 

"The investments accompanied the Crown Prince's visit will be the biggest investments in the history of Pakistan," he said, pointing out that a number of memorandums of understanding will be signed for cooperation between the two countries, including an establishment of an oil refinery at Gwadar Port with a Saudi investment.

 

Khan hailed identical views between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan with regard to regional and international issues, adding that the two countries will enhance effectively the diplomatic cooperation to support the regional and global security and to solve the long-standing conflicts, including Palestinian Cause and Kashmir issue as well as a peace process in Afghanistan.

 

Separately, Pakistan's Ministry of Finance said in a tweet that ACWA Power is looking to invest up to $ 4 billion in the country.

 

After his Pakistan visit, he will travel to India and China, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
