Riyad Bank’s board of directors has appointed Tariq Al Sadhan as the chief executive officer effective from April 1, 2019, the bank said in a bourse statement.
The step followed the resignation submitted by the bank’s current CEO, Abdulmajeed Al Mubarak, which was accepted by the board and will become effective from April 1, 2019.
The board has in turn appointed Al Mubarak to supervise the bank’s team studying the prospective merger with National Commercial Bank (NCB).
Al Sadhan has over 22 years of experience in the financial sector including banks, auditing, tax and financial management consulting. He had served as senior executive vice President - financial manager of Riyad Bank in early 2018.
