The Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) has finished operating Al Hindaweyyah substation, one of the latest stations in Jeddah, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

“Al Hindaweyyah was launched last week with a total cost of SAR 180 million. It was built to support network stability and improve power reliability in several main neighborhoods in Jeddah,” the company said.

“The new station gets its power from several power generating stations in Jeddah and serves large numbers of subscribers in central Jeddah,” SEC added.

The company also operated Al Aziziyah station, a 115/13.8 kilovolts station in Dhahran, with a total cost of SAR 116.7 million in order to support the area’s electric loads.
