On the other hand, Saudi dairy producer Almarai was the biggest decliner plunging 9.4 percent. It was followed by Bonyan REIT Fund which dropped 7.5 percent on Mar. 7, 2019.
On May 27, 2018, the Saudi market moved from a Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) to an auction method for determining closing prices, and enhancing the opening price auction in line with practices adopted by most other major markets, Argaam reported.
The closing price is set based on normal trades only, which are trades above SAR 15,000. If there are no normal trades during the auction, the closing price is the last traded price (LTP) during continuous trading. If there are no trades during the day, the closing price will be the previous closing price.
