Saudi Catering’s net profit falls 7% in 9M 2017

Saudi Airlines Catering Co. reported a net profit of SAR 382.8 million for the first nine months of 2017, a 7 percent year-on-year (YoY) decline due to lower in-flight catering sales to foreign airlines, decline in sales of airline equipment to Saudi Arabian Airlines Est, and a decrease in sales of catering and facilities by exiting loss-making contracts of remote sites.

The company’s net profit for the third quarter fell 6.3 percent YoY to SAR 130.4 million on higher cost of revenue, particularly cost of personnel.

 

Q3 net profit was lower by 0.5 percent compared to the previous quarter mainly due to higher cost of materials and goods, an increase in personnel cost, and general and administrative expenses.
