Tabuk Agricultural Development Co. (TADCO) has reported SAR 90.2 million in net losses in the first half of 2019, versus net profit of SAR 950,575, driven by the undervaluation of inventory on the balance sheet.

The company incurred net losses of SAR 66.6 million in Q2 2019, versus net profit of SAR 6.6 million in year-earlier period, on impairment losses from capital projects, asset impairment losses in affiliates, lower sales revenue and higher cost of sales.

 

On a sequential basis, losses widened by more than two-fold, due to setting aside provisions to hedge against an associate loan.
