Saudi Fisheries Co. widened 2022 net loss to SAR 68.8 million, compared to SAR 34.2 million in the year earlier period.

This was driven by higher cost of sales due to an increase in fixed and variable operating and production costs. The company also cited a SAR 3.5 million loss from an asset evaluation.

 

This was offset by higher revenue, lower general and administrative expenses and an increase in other revenue.

 

Saudi Fisheries incurred Q4 2022 net loss at SAR 18.9 million, versus a net profit of SAR 3.66 million in the year earlier period.

Accumulated losses reached SAR 197 million by Dec. 31, 2022, or 49.3% of capital.
