Aldrees net profit surges 50% to SAR 122.7 mln in 9M 2021

Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Co. (Aldrees) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 122.7 million for the first nine months of 2021, a rise of 50% from SAR 81.6 million in the prior-year period.

The profit growth was spurred by increased sales in the transport and petroleum services segments, and higher unrealized profit from revaluation of investment at fair value through the profit and loss account. The profit growth came despite a decrease in the investment profit of the joint venture and other income, as well as higher marketing, general, administrative expenses, financial and Zakat charges.

In Q3 2021, Aldrees posted a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 47.4 million, a rise of 29% from SAR 36.9 million in the year-ago period. The higher profit was driven by increased sales in the transport and petroleum services segments, and higher unrealized profit from revaluation of investment at fair value through the profit and loss account.

 

On a quarterly basis, net profit jumped 31.8% from SAR 36 million.
