Wafrah for Industry and Development Co. turned to a net profit of SAR 19 million for 2022, against a net loss of SAR 11 million in 2021.

The positive results were buoyed by a surge of 107.87% year-on-year (YoY) in sales.

 

Gross profit margins rose to 36%, from 18% in 2021 on improved average selling prices.

 

Wafrah also reported a higher valuation of property, plants and equipment. Accordingly, the company reversed an earlier impairment provision that was previously allocated and reversed a loan guarantee provision, despite the decrease in other revenues.

 

In Q4 2022, the company turned to net profit of SAR 4.80 million, from a net loss of SAR 6.41 million in Q4 2021.

 

Wafrah’s net profit jumped 59.1% from SAR 3.02 million in Q3 2022.
