Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Co. posted a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 202.45 million in the first nine months of 2019, an increase by 3.45 percent, as compared to a net profit of SAR 195.68 million in the same period in 2019.

The company attributed the profit increase to growth in sales by 9.04 percent and the improvement in gross margin despite the negative impact of applying IFRS 16 (lease contracts).

 

The company posted a net profit of SAR 75.38 million in the third quarter of 2019, an increase of 38.79 percent, as against a net profit of SAR 54.31 million in the same quarter of 2018.

 

The increase is attributed to a sales growth by 11.04 percent in addition to the improvement in gross margin, despite the negative impact of applying IFRS 16 (lease contracts) on the current quarter.

 

On a sequential basis, Q3 net profit jumped by 28.35 percent on improvement in gross margin.
