Basic Chemical Industries Co, a manufacturer of Chlorine and Hydrochloric acid, reported 2014’s net profit of SAR 23.7 million, a 47 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.

 

A net profit of SAR 6.5 million was reported for Q4-2014 compared to SAR 1.2 for Q3.

The company attributed the decline of 2014’s net profits compared to the last year to the increase of cost of sales, with percentage higher than the increase of sales.

 

The increase of Q4-2014’s net profits compared to the same period last year was attributed to the lower general & administrative expenses and increase of other income.

 

The increase of Q4-2014’s net profits compared to the previous period (Q3-2014) was attributed to the increase of income from operation resulting from a decrease of general & administrative expenses.
