Saudi Real Estate Co. (Al-Akaria) reported net profit of SAR 147.62 million for the 2015 fiscal year, marking a steep fall of 46.6 percent year-on-year (YOY) which the company attributed to reduced land sales and decline in earnings from affiliates.

The company, which develops and manages residential and commercial projects in the kingdom, posted a net profit of SAR 29.42 million in Q4-2015, a 78 percent YOY drop due to increased expenses and reduced land sales. Profit for the period was 23 percent lower than the previous quarter due to reconciliation of zakat provision.
