SAPTCO’s H1 net profit surges 246% to SAR 150.8 mln

Saudi Public Transportation Company (SAPTCO), which provides local inter-city transportation services, reported a net profit of SAR 150.75 million for H1-2015, a 246 percent increase compared to a net profit of SAR 43.5 million in the same period last year on higher operating revenue and equity investment profit. The company also realized a capital gain on expropriation of some of its land.

The company, however, reported a net profit of SAR 12.8 million in Q2 this year, compared to a net profit of SAR 22.4 million in the same quarter last year on higher general & administrative expenses and marketing expenses, in addition to lower other revenue.

 

SAPTCO’s Q2 net profit declined 91.3 percent from the previous quarter’s net profit of SAR 147.29 million.
