SAMA’s assets shrink SAR 46.5 bln to SAR 1.78 trln in July

Assets held by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) decreased by SAR 46.5 billion month-on-month (MoM) to SAR 1.78 trillion in July.

 

When compared to July 2022, SAMA’s assets fell by around SAR 219.8 billion, according to data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

SAMA’s investments in foreign securities, which represent nearly 54% of its total assets, dropped by 14% year-on-year (YoY) to around SAR 968.3 billion last month.
