Emaar EC posts SAR 13 mln profit in Q1 2019

Emaar The Economic City (Emaar EC) posted net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 13 million for Q1 2019, compared to net profit of SAR 3 million a year earlier due to higher land sales for residential projects and a change in the cost estimates of its residential projects’ infrastructure.

 

The company also cited a decline in operating asset losses and gains from sale of investment properties.

When compared to Q4 2018, net profit tumbled by 77.6 percent on a decline in other income.
