Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.1%, or 7 points, higher at 12,352 today, May 2. The total traded value reached about SAR 6.6 billion.
Market Index
Bank AlJazira added 2% to SAR 16.26 after announcing a 47% profit leap year-on-year in Q1 2024.
Raydan, MEDGULF, NCLE, MBC Group, Elm, and Al-Rajhi Takaful gained between 4% and 7%.
Electrical Industries notched the highest close since debut at SAR 5.22 (+6%) after nearly 21 million shares were traded. Year to date, the stock has boosted its gains to over 80%.
Fueled by the company’s announcement of higher-than-expected Q1 2024 earnings, Tawuniya climbed 7%.

SABIC shed 2% to SAR 82.50. The company announced on May 1 a 62% slump in the first-quarter net earnings to SAR 250 million.
Meanwhile, MARAFIQ dropped 5% to SAR 63.50. SASCO also ended 4% down at SAR 81.20 after the Q1 2024 earnings announcement.
