Tadawul suspends trading on MIS ahead of material event

The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) halted trading on shares of Al Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS) from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, today, Jan. 12, upon the company's request and as per the listing rules and procedures for suspending listed companies' shares.

 

The company will announce a significant event, Tadawul said in a statement.

 

The order maintenance period will start at 12:30 pm, Tadawul added.

 

MIS stock traded 0.1% lower at SAR 95.10 today, with nearly 5,800 shares changing hands in 95 transactions.

 

MIS received a favorable preliminary court ruling today to dismiss the lawsuit in a commercial lawsuit filed against the company.

 

The lawsuit was filed against it by Ettesaq Ltd Co., which sought compensation worth SAR 65.5 million, including 15% value-added tax (VAT) as well as the attorney fees of SAR 300,000.
