The Saudi Cabinet approved a partnership framework for the development of clean energy with the US, which was signed in Jeddah on July 15, 2022.

 

The two parties intend to enhance cooperation, as per their national laws, through a partnership framework for the development of clean energy, the Official Gazette Umm Al-Qura reported.

 

The cooperation includes boosting the use of hydrogen through accelerating the development of a joint vision, based on the clean hydrogen standards, as well as the procedures of cutting production costs and the measures of establishing a new global hydrogen market.

 

This also includes cooperation in the fields of civil nuclear energy and uranium, and other fields of civil nuclear energy and uranium development as determined by the two parties from time to time.
