Tadawul approved amendments to the Short Selling Regulations and the Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) Regulations, which came into effect on March 6, 2022.

 

A short selling transaction means any sale of a listed security that is borrowed sufficiently to match the selling order, or the seller has exercisable and unconditional rights to borrow, in accordance with the SBL Regulations.
