US weekly oil inventories fall 4.5 mln barrels

US crude oil inventories declined in the week ended Oct. 13. Gasoline inventories and distillate stocks also fell during the same period.

 

Crude oil fell 4.5 million barrels last week, compared to expectations of a decline by 300,000 barrels, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.

 

US gasoline inventories decreased by nearly 2.4 million barrels, while distillate stocks fell 3.2 million barrels.
