US crude oil inventories rise less than expected

US crude oil inventories increased in the week ended Oct. 27, while gasoline inventories stabilized and distillate stocks fell during the same period.

 

Crude oil rose 800,000 barrels last week, compared to expectations of an increase by 870,000 barrels, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.

 

US gasoline inventories remained unchanged, compared to a decline by 1.3 million, while distillate stocks fell 800,000 barrels, compared to a drop by 1.7 million barrels.
