Care net profit rises 15% to SAR 114.6 mln in 9M 2022; Q3 at SAR 42.6

National Medical Care Co. (Care) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 114.6 million for the first nine months of 2022, a 15% increase from SAR 99.6 million in the year-earlier period.

The profit-rise came as revenue went up 6% year-on-year (YoY) due to higher business volumes and increased patient visits under all categories. Gross profit improved by 14% YoY, while other income rose and Zakat charges decreased.

 

Meanwhile, Care noted higher selling and marketing expenses, and, general and administrative costs.

 

In Q3 2022, net profit after Zakat and tax rose 29% YoY to SAR 42.6 million, driven by higher revenue and improved gross profit margins.

Shareholders’ equity, after minority interest, grew by 7% to SAR 1.194 billion as of Sept. 30, 2022, from SAR 1.091 billion a year earlier.
