Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.8%, or 102 points, higher at 12,756 points today, March 3, recording the highest close since July 2006.
Turnover reached SAR 12.5 billion.
The index gained about 1,500 points, or 13.1%, since the start of the year, compared to the end of 2021.
Saudi Aramco rose 3% to SAR 44.30, hitting an all-time high. More than 31.5 million shares were traded.
The stock has witnessed a gradual this year-to-date, rising nearly 24%, bringing the company’s market cap close to about SAR 9 trillion.
SABIC, Saudi National Bank, Saudi Kayan, Sipchem, Savola and Tasnee gained between 1% and 5%.
Maaden was the top gainer, rising 7% to SAR 118.80, recording the highest close since its listing. The stock has gained more than 50% year-to-date.
Theeb Rent a Car climbed 4% to SAR 58.50 after the company announced its Q4 2021 financial results.
