Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co.’s shareholders approved the board’s recommendation of a 45% cash dividend, or SAR 4.5 per share, for 2021 during the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on June 30, according to a bourse filing today, July 3.

They delegated the board the authority to approve interim dividends semi-annually or quarterly for 2022.
Shareholders approved the buyback of 175,000 shares maximum at a total value of SAR 17.55 million as part of the long-term incentive plan (LTIP). The repurchase will be financed through the company’s cash. They also authorized the board to complete the repurchase process within 12 months from the date of the EGM’s approval.
The repurchased shares will be kept no longer than 10 years from the EGM date until allocated to the entitled employees. The EGM approval was obtained on May 8, 2017.
