Methanex Corp., the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol, cut its Asian contract price (ACP) for June 2020 by $10 to $215 per ton compared to May.

Monthly prices issued by Methanex are considered as an indicative price for other producers, as well as for the spot market. The company gives an average of 15% discount to buyers compared to contract prices.
The spot price in China, the world’s biggest importer of methanol, reached $160 per ton, data compiled by Argaam showed.
